The Mosaics and Mirrors project was created by Ruby Johnson and Devi Leiper O’Malley, who conducted the research, conceived the oracle cards, and convened a community of feminists to take part in bringing all the elements of this project to life.
Devi
Devi Leiper O’Malley, is a Cambodian-American feminist organiser working in philanthropy, supporting funders and organisers to redistribute resources for social activism. For the past decade, Devi has been working with feminist funds around the world. Devi’s work is underpinned by her experiences supporting identity-based communities and projects in the US, Uganda, Cambodia, Afghanistan, and globally with refugees, sex workers, and garment workers.
Ruby
Ruby Johnson, is fiercely committed to redistributing resources and power to feminist movements, centring girls and young activists in all she does. A researcher, storyteller, strategist and grantmaker, Ruby is currently working as an gender justice consultant with a wide range of feminist funders and organisations. She brings experience as a co-executive director, board member and founder of feminist organisations, with specific expertise in participatory practices, shared leadership and sparking cultures of care.

As a feminist strategist, queer gardener and former dancer, Amanda is convinced that art, activism and compost are key to disrupting and transforming unjust power systems worldwide. Her varied consulting offerings build on her knack for crafting creative systems out of chaos and inspiring change where there is stagnation.

A South African feminist researcher, organiser and mover with eight years’ experience supporting justice-driven organisations. Politically, Christy approaches contexts of her work through an intersectional feminist lens and ethics, and infuses embodied practices of co-creation, collective care and play into her collaborations. She is based in South Africa and Brazil.

Emily Basa Besa is a mindfulness and meditation teacher working to nurture connection and community through ceremonies, gatherings, meditative practices, and reflective storytelling. LEAD DESIGNER OF TOOLS
Georgia is a feminist activist and strategist from Ireland bringing over 10 years’ experience in programming, strategy design and influencing, specialising in girl and young feminist organising. She provides tailored support to organisations, UN agencies and funders, bringing technical expertise in girls’ rights, meaningful participation and gender justice.

COMMUNICATIONS COACH
Laura is a cuir (queer) Colombian feminist sprouting collective action through the power of storytelling. Her organising and advocacy efforts began within the immigrant and refugee rights movement and expanded across feminist and social justice movements. She works at the intersections of storytelling, advocacy, resource redistribution, healing, and art. She finds inspiration in social movements, collective care, art, and those that root themselves in solidarity and love.

Naomi is a coach and facilitator with a focus on increasing the inner sense of belonging, confidence and authentic leadership of ambitious and purpose-driven organisations. She also works with organisations to help create cultures of belonging so they can thrive.

Rochelle is a feminist consultant with over two decades of experience and a focus on resource mobilisation politics. Her work includes research; documenting feminist praxis; writing original content and creating compelling knowledge products. Rochelle is also a strategist and editor who loves tinkering with other people's work and ideas. She is based in Australia.

Shreya is an independent visual artist from India with a keen interest in crafting design systems and developing immersive digital experiences. Trimita is a feminist activist/ researcher from the Indingeous Chakma community in Bangladesh. She has worked with hundreds of grassroots activists from the Global South, training them on using Feminist Participatory Action Research (FPAR) for social justice. She is a co-founder of the online feminist pegagogical platform FPAR Academy.

Hafsa is a visual artist and a graphic designer, based in Karachi, Pakistan. Her work often deals with questioning, reflecting and altering realities. Most of her work revolves around the themes of self-identity; exploring the space/s one occupies, the extrinsic values attached to one’s agency and the autonomy this holds.

Iva is a painter and illustrator from Kastav, Croatia. She graduated at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka where she began working on her first projects in illustration. Her work is based on dreamy and mystical landscapes filled with animals and little forest creatures.

Nzilani is a visual artist born, raised and based in Nairobi, Kenya. She specialises in illustration, hand lettering, infographics, identity design and visual advocacy and is passionate about design for social impact; she is also a part time-lecturer in a Nairobi based digital arts college. She finds inspiration in the African landscape from animals to plants and flowers. She also enjoys learning and conveying African stories in her art. Her hand-lettering practice moves her through music lyrics to inspirational quotes.

BRAZIL • LUNA DECK
27, photographer and visual artist graduated in philosophy from the University of the State of Bahia. Of Kariri-Sapuyá indigenous origin, Mavi’s work is guided by her spirituality and consists of creating narratives about resistance, identity and ancestral memory, resignifying images through photography techniques and languages to create digital collages.

Sachiko Kobayashi Watanabe is a Peruvian botanical artist and illustrator with Japanese family background. Her interest in plants come from the relation we have with them, personal, medicinal, spiritual, rather than only decorative.
